These Are The Only Car Detailing Products You Need
Car care is extremely important if you want to maintain the value of your vehicle. Car detailing has come into play over the last few years, with more and more motorists taking the time to look after the bodywork, upholstery and trim on their cars.
If you want to keep your car in good condition, you only need a small selection of products to get you through. These include dashboard and trim cleaning products, seat care and auto spray paints and aerosols.
It may seem pretty obvious but one of the first products you’re going to need is a high quality dashboard and trim cleanser. The easiest way to use this is to apply the foam cleaner to the dashboard and trim, leaving it for the desired amount of time that is stated on the product instructions.
The less amount of time that you leave the product on the material for will result in a glossier finish. However, leave it there for longer periods and you’ll notice a matte like, natural finish on the dashboard and trim.
Of course, there are two main types of upholstery in cars; leather and cloth seating materials. Its important to get the correct cleaner for the type of material that you’re cleaning.
Leather seats react better to an easy to apply liquid cleanser. Simply apply it to the material and wipe it straight off as instructed. However, cloth seats are better treated with foam cleaning products such as Autoglym.
Bodywork and painting:
Occasionally vehicles will suffer minor cosmetic damage such as scratches and scuffs. The easiest way to repair this is to use an automotive spray paint or chrome spray paint and have the problem resolved yourself.
Failing that, if you don’t feel comfortable, you can always book in for a car body repair or respray.
